Aer Rianta International to run 11 stores at Kunming airport

Published 04 May 2012

Travel retailer Aer Rianta International (ARI) has plans to run 11 stores at Kunming Changshiu International airport, which is due to open on 28 June 2012.

A subsidiary of Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) has signed a six-year contract last year with Yunnan Airport Group in China to operate 650m² of retail space.

The retailer will operate 11 separate duty-paid stores selling branded skincare products, cosmetics, and perfumes, fashion items, accessories and other goods, reported DFNIonlne.

A spokesperson from ARI said it is the company's first launch into the Chinese duty-free market.
