Aldeasa opens four outlets in Spain's Alicante Airport

RBR Staff Writer Published 15 April 2011

Aldeasa, a leading airport retail operator, has opened four outlets including its new travel retail outlet called The Shop at the Alicante Airport in Spain.

The Shop is the company's first walk-through store, which means all airport passengers have to walk through the main outlet. It has a retail space of about 1,650 sq ft.

The other three outlets in the airport are Arivals Shop, Express Shop and a confectionery outlet. The Shop stocks travel retail products such as tobacco, beauty products, liquor, apparel and accessories, toys, souvenirs and household products. The retailer claims that it has worked in close partnership with Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA) to develop the new outlets in the terminal building and hopes to offer passengers what they are looking for.

Alicante Airport is the sixth busiest airport in Spain, after Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Gran Canaria. In addition to operating outlets in airports of America, Asia and Europe, the company is also into wholesale distribution of duty-free products, as well as services such as promotions and shop design.
