RBR Staff Writer Published 30 August 2012

UK-based books and stationary retailer WHSmith has opened its first store in Southeast Asia at Kuala Lumpur International airport (KLIA) in Malaysia.

The new store will be operated in partnership with local retailer Bison, reported DFNIonline.com.

WHSmith's KLIA store stocks a wide selection of books and a wide range of magazines, stationery, travel accessories and convenience products.

The UK retailer is also looking to open two additional stores at Langkawi International airport next month.

WHSmith operates over 1,100 stores in the UK and several other international locations, including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Melbourne and Delhi.
