RBR Staff Writer Published 14 February 2012

Inflight concessionaire China Sales Group (CSG) has renewed its contract with Shanghai China Eastern Airlines Duty Free Merchandise.

The firm will continue to operate the duty-free concession on board China Eastern Airlines flights, reported dfnionline.com.

The latest contract is for five years, starting from November 2011, and will be automatically renewed for another five years upon expiration.

The concessionaire reported 23% increase in 2010 sales, compared to 2009 and sales in 2011 were up 17%, compared with 2010.

CSG general manager Thierry Marquer said the firm expects to have an average annual increase of 15% over the next five years.

"China Eastern Airlines represents 23% to 24% of our total sales and as such it is very important to our company," Marquer said.
