El Corte Inglés opens five outlets at Palma de Mallorca airport

Spanish duty-free travel retailer El Corte Inglés recently won a tender from the airport authority Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA) to open five outlets at Spain's Palma de Mallorca airport's terminal C.

All five stores together cover an area of nearly 19,375 sq ft, and offer products such as fashion accessories, souvenirs, toys and electronics. The first 3,229 sq ft shop is dedicated to gourmet products and beauty items such as wines, preserves, cheese, meats, dietary supplements, cosmetics and toiletries. The second store covers an area of 2,906 sq ft, and is a leisure and entertainment outlet. It includes separate areas for music and film, consumer electronics, video games and photography, according to DFNI Online.

The third outlet covers a floor area of 270 sq m, and offers souvenirs such as guidebooks, luggage, handbags, fans, handicrafts, and sporting goods. The fourth store occupies 4,305 sq ft of space, and offers sunglasses, jewellery and accessories for men and women, footwear, and leathergoods from brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Swarovski, Gant, Guess, Kipling, Calvin Klein, and Gloria Ortiz.

The fifth and the largest boutique covers an area of 5,381 sq ft. It offers fashion apparel and accessories for men and women, and houses brands such as Esprit, Formula Joven, Only, as well as Jack & Jones, the website reported.
