Gebr Heinemann unveils four new stores in Vienna International airport

RBR Staff Writer Published 28 June 2012

Germany-based travel retailer Gebr Heinemann has unveiled four duty-free stores and a Hugo Boss boutique space at Vienna International airport’s Skylink terminal.

The multi-category stores, occupying more than 2,000m² of retail space, are located after security in the departures lounge and offer international branded goods, Austrian specialties and airport-exclusive products, reported DFNIoline.com.

The stores feature Heinemann's Choice promotional stages, which will be used to showcase new offers and products that change every other month.

In the Regionals zone, local delicacies are presented to travelers in a space designed by Vienna-based architects Coop Himmelb(l)au using the Viennese waltz as inspiration.

Heinemann retail manager Constantin Wiesmann told the website that, "The duty-free shops at Vienna Aarport have an Austrian identity thanks to our wide selection of typically Austrian products."

Local products include select wines from Esterházy and sparkling wine from the Austrian manufacturer Schlumberger, in addition to Heindl pralines and Julius Meinl coffee.

The product range also features fine brandies from Reisetbauer of Upper Austria, the Gölles distillery in Styria and Hämmerle as well as Marillenschnaps from the Wachau region and a variety of Mozart liqueurs.
