RBR Staff Writer Published 22 July 2011

La Prairie, the Swiss luxury beauty brand, recently collaborated with Hong Kong-based international luxury travel retailer DFS Group to open a new flagship store within the DFS Galleria Waikiki duty-free outlet in Hawaii.

The new 409 sq ft outlet features the beauty brand's signature white and silver colour scheme. It incorporates white marble, brushed aluminium and glass in its design and offers the entire range of La Prairie skincare products, foundations and fragrances. It also offers customized consultations, and personalised customer service.

The Swiss beauty label and the DFS Group have previously partnered to open similar stores in Hong Kong and Macau, according to dfnionline.com.

DFS operates nearly 150 stores in 14 countries located primarily in the Asia/Pacific region. DFS stores offer luxury brands of cosmetics and perfume, jewelry, liquor, tobacco, apparel among other upscale products. In addition to airport stores, DFS runs nearly 12 Galleria centers in downtown and upscale resorts. It also operates Miami Cruiseline Services, a shipboard duty-free retailer.

DFS is owned by French conglomerate LVMH and its co-founder Robert Miller.
