LSAP to operate at new Xi’an Xianyang International airport
Travel retailer LS Travel Retail Asia Pacific (LSAP), a part of Lagardere Services Group, plans to operate a number of shops at the new Xi’an Xianyang International airport terminal three. The first phase is due to open on 26 March 2012.
The 2.47 million ft² space will handle 21 million passengers annually when fully operational, with 88 commercial units spread across 122,708ft² of floor space, according to dfnionline.com.
LSAP is likely to run the 2,152ft² fashion and accessories concession featuring international brands, in addition to 3,767ft² to 4,305ft² of perfumes and cosmetics space spread across three locations.
The travel retailer is expected to operate some of the c-stores under its Hub Convenience shop concept and implement its Kaboom educational toy program. The company is also likely to operate a Discover store, which could eventually be called Discover Xi'an.
Tobacco products and liquor will initially be sold at the c-stores until the extension of the central commercial area in 2014, when there will be dedicated wine and liquor outlets.
The Swatch Group retail arm Tech-Airport will operate watches store. Most contracts are likely to be for five years, some with the option to extend for a further two.
Lagardère Services has over 4,000 stores in 21 countries. LSAP has multiple retail operations in countries like Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Singapore and Taiwan.
