MCM inaugurates its new duty-free boutique in China

European luxury brand MCM, has opened its first stand-alone downtown duty-free outlet at the Chongqing Duty Free Galleria, China.

The new retail stores which occupies an area of 69 square meters, offers an array of products from its spring/summer 2010 collection for women and is located alongside other brands including Bally, Bvlgari, Coach, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana. Besides the new store, the retailer operates two other boutiques in China and personalized shop-in-shops with Sunrise Duty Free at Beijing Capital International airport terminal three and Shanghai Pudong International airport terminal two. Gerry Munday, global travel-retail director of MCM said that the company is planning to expand further in China by the end of 2010. He also said that the company will open another 35 new retail outlets by the end of 2011.
