Meridian Duty Free to open new store in Venice Marco Polo

RBR Staff Writer Published 27 July 2012

Italian travel retailer Meridian Duty Free has been awarded a five-year contract to open third Ducati store in Venice Marco Polo International Airport.

Spread across 27m², the new outlet will be located in the Schengen area and is slated to open early in August 2012.

The outlet will offer a full range of Ducati apparel and merchandising products, reported DFNIonline.com.

The proposed outlet will be opened under MDF Travel Shop, is the result of the retailers agreement with Ducati Motor Holding to manage the latter's flagship stores in Italy and abroad.

Meridian Duty Free CEO Marco Passoni was quoted by the website as saying that, "We strongly believe in the future and in the development of our Ducati airport concept. We are fully committed and look forward to working closely with the airport to ensure a new and exciting retail experience through our new Ducati shop."
