Maritime Mercantile International (MMI) and Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) will open six prime retail and food and beverage (F&B) outlets in Dubai International airport on 1 January 2013, following a competitive tender.

To be located at the airport terminal three's A gates, the new concepts include a new Le Clos fine wines and luxury spirits store, besides the first Moët & Chandon Champagne Lounge, the first Giraffe restaurant outside the UK, the first Heineken Lounge outside of North America and the furst Costa Coffee Metropolitan format at an airport, reported DFNIonline.com.

Further, both the companies will also open a Jack's Bar & Grill concept, which showcases the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey brand.

MMI and ELR believe that the new outlets will serve as a expansion to their F&B and travel-retail portfolios. Currently, both the companies operate over 30 outlets across nine domestic and international airports in Australia and the UAE.

MMI & ELR Group CEO Andrew Day told the website that stores opening will increase their presence at Dubai International through a portfolio of global, and their own brands.
