Qatar Duty Free to have 70 retail outlets by 2014 end

RBR Staff Writer Published 24 June 2014

Qatar Duty Free (QDF), which is already home to many world-class luxury brands at the Hamad International Airport, has announced that it intends to operate 70 retail outlets before the year-end in order to expand its offerings to customers.

QDF offers a wide collection of high end luxury brands in addition to some global best sellers and regional souvenirs.

QDF senior vice president Keith Hunter told Gulf Times that all the outlets offer a selection of designer labels, high street fashion, electronics and gourmet foods.

"We will have some luxury brand outlets opening before Eid and many more before the year-end," Hunter added.

Now HIA passengers can enjoy Farggi's premium ice creams, a food court at HIA, called 'Eat Street'.

Further, QDF will add selection of global and regional cuisine at a series of exclusive food and beverage outlets.

"As QDF is part of a major international five-star airline, we understand the needs and expectations of our passengers, and so we have developed a unique and comprehensive food and beverage offering.

"We wanted to create a renaissance in airport dining, and to develop a complete culinary experience based around our passengers' needs. We have therefore built an environment that promotes high-quality, healthy and authentic cuisine, matched with efficient and exceptional service," Hunter added.
