Travel Retail Norway expands Heinemann Duty Free concept in Oslo

RBR Staff Writer Published 25 April 2012

Travel Retail Norway, a joint venture between Germany’s Gebr Heinemann and Validus, has unveiled a 1,850m² revamped store at Oslo Gardermoen airport, under the Heinemann Duty Free fascia concept.

The Oslo Heinemann Duty Free store features a Regionals section offering Norwegian specialities such as Bamsemums chocolate-coated mashmallow bears and Vikingsfjord vodka, reported DFNI online.

The store also offers Braastad and Bache-Gabrielsen XO cognacs, produced in France.

In February 2012, Travel Retail Norway opened a 230m² Heinemann Travel Value fashion and accessories outlet.

The joint venture has also opened a 1,650m² arrivals store in Oslo, an 800m² shop in Bergen airport and a 240m² store in Kristiansand airport.

The company will launch a 100m² duty free store at Trondheim airport on 1 May 2012 and a 1,050m² store is scheduled to open in mid-June at Stavanger Airport, at which point Heinemann Duty Free will have a presence at all of Norway's five main airports.
